Leading the Way to Better Healthcare, One Happy CDI Professional at a Time

At CDI Search Group, we truly believe that happy CDI professionals lead to more efficient, functional hospitals, and, ultimately, better patient care.

In order to ensure that our Candidates flourish in their new careers, we do things a bit differently than larger search firms. Instead of simply placing applicants in the first suitable opening, we take the time to really get to know our Candidates. In addition to their education, experience, and skills, we get a sense of how each individual operates and where they will thrive. After finding a perfect fit, we support our Candidates throughout the application and interview process, then make sure the transition to their new career is as smooth as possible.

Industry Involvement

To show our appreciation to the RNs and Health Information (HIM) professionals we work with, CDI Search Group has been a major contributor of five national ACDIS conferences (Association for Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists). We’ve become familiar faces in the CDI community and try to find ways to give back whenever possible. We’ve thrown CDI appreciation cruises, handed out tickets to Vegas productions, given away 1,000 donuts, sent a couple on an Alaskan cruise, and sponsored lunches and raffles at a number of local ACDIS chapter meetings. Meet the Founders

Scott Entinger and Devon Santoro, both graduates of the University of Oregon, met in 2008 while working for a large healthcare recruitment firm. Together, they quickly realized that they shared a philosophy: deeper personal connections lead to more successful career placements. Dedicated to this ideal, they set out on their own and focused their efforts on Clinical Documentation Improvement, which they knew would play a pivotal role in the healthcare landscape over the next several years.

Thus, CDI Search Group was born.

Scott Entinger

Before becoming a recruiter, Scott Entinger was a financial advisor, but relationship-building seemed to be in his blood.  Once he started connecting CDI professionals with hospitals, he loved the work and found it deeply rewarding to help people change their lives for the better. He never looked back.

When he’s not at work, you can find Scott on the golf course, coaching high school basketball, or running around with his two young daughters.

Devon Santoro

Devon Santoro spent her early professional years in Chicago working for an education consulting firm before garnering experience in the healthcare field. She uses her eye for detail and connectivity to build professional networks and assess new opportunities for CDI professionals. Devon loves brightening her Candidates’ days and is always dreaming up ways to surprise them with little gifts and giveaways.  Devon is a very skilled and innovative marketer and identifies unique and individualized plans for each Candidate she represents.  There is no stronger advocate for CDI professionals in the field today than Devon Santoro.  She takes great pride in knowing that her success is directly related to the success and happiness of the individuals she works with.

When she’s not at work, Devon’s probably cooking, running, or caring for her dogs.
